With the development of the communication technology,various types of electronic communication devices are more diverse in function and structure.The demand of electromagnetic spectrum is increasing rapidly and the operating frequency is expanding to the higher ones.The high-frequency method which is based on the local approximation and ignores the coupling interaction between targets is one of the main methods for analyzing the electromagnetic scattering of electric and superelectric targets.First,this paper expounds the basic principles of the PO and SBR which are more common in high-frequency methods.Then,the two methods are used to analyze the radar cross section of superelectric mental target with single and multiple reflection structures.Based on this,the application of the high-frequency method to the electromagnetic scattering characteristics analysis of the metal and dielectric hybrid targets is studies.For the multi-layer uniform thin-film coating,the total reflection field on the media surface can be solved by using the generalized reflection coefficient,and then the RCS of the multilayered coating target is obtained by using the PO method.When the metal surface was coated with non-uniform thickness media and inhomogeneous media,a new SBR method based on the tetrahedron splitting is proposed.The propagation of the rays inside the media is considered.then the total scattered field can be obtained.The correctness of this method is verified by the comparable simulation,and expands the applicability of bouncing ray method in practical engineering.In addition,the application of the high-frequency method in the inverse synthetic aperture radar(ISAR)imaging is studied.The relationship between the far field scattering field of the target and its shape function is analyzed.For the time-consuming problem of calculating the monostatic field of a superelectric target with a certain frequency band and angle in the traditional imaging process,a new fast ISAR imaging formula based on the SBR method is deduced.The improved imaging method is verified by simulation comparison,the method had a faster imaging speed compared with the traditional imaging method.
