Decision making under uncertainty and multiple attribute decision mak-ing are two main parts of decision making science and already widely used in many fields,such as,investment decision-making,engineering design,project evaluation,economic evaluation etc.It is of great significance to study the theories and methodologies of decision making under uncertainty and intuitionistic fuzzy multiple attribute decision making,as complexity and uncertainty of applications and fuzziness of natrual language.Although people have made fruitful achievements on the research of decision making under uncertainty and intuitionistic fuzzy multiple attribute decision making,it is still far from mature,and needs further study.De-cision making under Dempster-Shafer uncertainties,which represents var-ious types of probability uncertainties,has already been studied by Yager,but decision making under maxitive belief structures uncertainties,which is a representation of an imprecise probability distribution,has not been stud-ied.MCDM problem in the framework of intuitionistic approach may be formulated as follows.First,aggregating the intuitionistic fuzzy attribute information for every alternatives.Second,comparing the resulting alter?native's evaluations.How to efficiently aggregate the intuitionistic fuzzy information is the key part in MCDM prolem.It easy to compare alter-native's evaluations,if evaluation of alternative is real number,but it un-avoidably loses information in the aggregation of intuitionistic fuzzy infor-mation.Some solutions to MCDM problem give method to compare eva-lutions of alternatives,but does not provide an appropriate technique for the estimation of an extent to which one is greater/smaller than the other,whereas such information is usually important for a decision maker.The thesis uses OWA operator,the weights of which are determined by solving a nonlinear mathematical programming with parameter ?,the decision attitude of decision maker,to give solution to the problem of de-cision making under MBS uncertainties.The selection of OWA weights has been elaborately studied.The paper uses intuitionistic fuzzy values to represent evaluations of alternatives and the MBS'rule of combination to aggregate intuitionistic fuzzy information as the equivalence between MBS and intuitionistic fuzzy values.The interval comparison based on the Dempster-Shafer theory of evidence gives the estimation of an extent to which one is greater/smaller than the other.The solution based on MBS to MCDM problem in framework of intuitionistic fuzzy set is consistent to decision making methods using weighted sum aggregation,multiplicative aggregation and Yager's aggregation.Examples show consistence between method proposed in the paper and decision making using weighted sum,multiplicative and Yager's aggregation.
