The rare earth Pr3+ions present up-conversion photoluminescence properties with the sensitization of Yb3+ions,making it widely used in the research of red-light phosphor and white-light LED.The relaxation ferroelectrics?1-x?Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-xPbTiO3[?1-x?PMN-xPT]transparent ceramics is a kind of perfect matrix material due to its excellent electrical and optical properties.The ferroelectric,dielectric and photoluminescence properties,mainly the temperature independence as well as in-situ electric field effect of Pr3+/Yb3+co-doped 0.75PMN-0.25PT ceramics are introduced in this paper,main results and conclusions are as follows:1.Using the columbite precursor method powder and fabricated pure pervoskite0.75PMN-0.25PT:1.5%Pr/yYb?y=0?1%?3%?5%?transparent ceramics by two-stage sintering technology.The ferroelectric and dielectric properties got weaker a little and the c/a and Tc droped with the increasing Yb3+ions concentration,which demonstrated the symmetry of the crystal lattice became higher.2.When the transparent ceramics were excited by 450 nm,strong visible down-conversion?DC?emissions were detected in the wavelength of 495,534,550,620,650 nm.And the emission intensity reduced with the rising Yb3+ions content.When the transparent ceramics were excited by 980 nm laser,strong visible up-conversion?UC?emissions were detected in the wavelength of 491,529,539,623,649,710 and 739 nm.The visible UC emission was found to be a two-photon process and sensitized by Yb3+.The intensities of the visible UC emissions saturate at higher pump power above 1.65 W when the Yb3+content y surpasses 3%.3.The UC and DC photoluminescence of Pr3+were remarkbaly dependent of temperature.About the DC photoluminescence,due to the crystal lattice relaxation of Pr3+resulted from the high temperature,the emission intensity receded with rising temperature.In the range of 140-320 K,the UC intensity increased accomplished with the rising temerature.It is cause to the high temperature promotes the up transition of electrons.In the range of 340-460 K,the UC intensity droped with the following temerature due to the temperature quenching.4.The UC and DC emission intensity deduced under the rising in-situ electric field and the DC intensity deduced remarkably.On the basis of literature research and the dielectric constant meaure,this phenomenon can be attribute to the phase transition between tetragonal phase and rhombohedral phase resulted from the lattice distortion by the in-situ electric field.It can be seen,the Pr3+/Yb3+co-doped PMN-PT transparent is a kind of prospectively mutifunctional fluorescence materials.
