The west of Fukang fault zone has undergone multi-periods of tectonic movement, including Hercynian,Indo China,Yanshan and Himalayan, producing complex geological and structural conditions. On that basis,it is difficult to establish the exact structural style.Current research results reaped a little on oil and gas exploration. This research calibrates the comprehensive layer marking with the help of well layer, the peripheral interpretation of layer, data of connecting-well profile, and geological outcrop. Then we establish structural interpretation model with the benefit of the calibrated layer and the theory of fault and fold. The process of forming map is driven by the structural model, based on geological outcrop and the two-three dimensional seismic data with interpretation of the up and down part of strata. On the basis of structural model and interpretation map, structural styles and reservoir forming patterns could be well studied, and also the control effect of structure on reservoir can be analyzed effectively. Then the oil and gas exploration will be better guided. In this study,I achieve four main cognizes about the target area: firstly,I establish five structural models, which are imbricated fan structure, thrust structure, head structure, double structure and fault structure;Secondly,I pinpoints two patterns of reservoir, which are “self generation, self accumulation” and “lower generation, upper accumulation”;Thirdly, the fault structure plays a positive role in oil and gas migration mainly, but also can be conducive to sealing oil and gas in local area. Finally,I find one favorable target in a faulted anticline which consists of coal slippage fault of J2 x and folded strata of J1 s.
