The Kwanza Basin has made major breakthroughs in oil and gas exploration in recent years, and the contribution to the sub-salt region is outstanding.Based on the theory of petroleum geology, sedimentology and geostatistics, this paper evaluates the petroleum geological conditions of the Kwanza Basin and the understanding of its exploration degree, and evaluates it by Monte Carlo method and reservoir size sequence method. The amount of oil and gas resources to be discovered in the basin. The study shows that by analyzing the geological conditions of the Kwanza Basin, the Kwanza Basin can be divided into five sets of reservoirs, three sets of proven reservoirs, and two sets of unproven accumulations. The three sets of proved reservoir-forming combinations are: the salt-bottom-Barre-Apt period carbonate-bearing combination, the salt-on-salt(Al)-order carbonate/clastic reservoir formation, and the salt-bearing Cenozoic The combination of shavings and reservoirs;two sets of unproven reservoir formations are the Newcomb-Barem volcanic rock/sandstone formation combination and the SasnemanMaastricht carbonate formation.Through the analysis of the exploration degree of each reservoir combination in the Kwanza Basin, three sets of proved accumulations are suitable for statistical evaluation of resource potential. The two sets of unproven accumulations have no oil and gas output and are not evaluated.Among them, the saltsalt-forming combination analogy uses the Monte Carlo method for the subsalt reservoir formation in the Campos basin of the conjugate basin, and the two reservoir-scale sequence methods on the salt. The evaluation results show that the resources of the saltup and Cenozoic clastic rock reservoirs to be discovered are about 27.5 million barrels of oil equivalent(27.5MMboe);the amount of resources to be discovered in the salt-up(inter)Albutian carbonate/clastic reservoir formation is about 0.29 billion barrels of oil equivalent(29MMboe);the salt-under-Barre-Apt period carbonate formation combination resource to be discovered is about 2.98 billion barrels of oil equivalent(2980MMboe).The most favorable foreground area is under the salt, and the first-stage favorable area of the sub-salt accumulation group is formed by the superposition of source rocks, reservoirs, caprocks and tectonic highlands, and the superimposed areas are bulges. The area is close to the west side of the fault at the Atlantic junction.
