Polyacrylonitrile was used as raw material to prepare polyacrylonitrile fiber by electrospinning method with phenolic resin microspheres, polyethylene glycol and melamine were used as modifiers.Polyacrylonitrile fiber was treated by preoxidation and carbonization to prepare PAN-based activated carbon fibers.Microstructure of PAN-based activated carbon fibers was characterized by SEM and XRD.Wetting property and contents of elements in the surface of PAN-based activated carbon fibers were characterized by XPS and contact angle instrument. The electrochemical performance of PAN-based activated carbon fibers electrode material was characterized by cyclic voltammetry and AC impedance. The electrochemical performance of supercapacitors was tested by galvanostatic charge and discharge process. The best preparation technology of PAN-based carbon fibers and the dosage of phenolic resin microspheres, polyethylene glycol and melamine influence on the performance of PAN-based activated carbon fibers result of these analysis of the tests which proved that the use of phenolic resin microspheres, polyethylene glycol and melamine in turn was feasible in the three stages of preparation of PAN-based carbon fibers.Obtain PAN-based carbon fiber electrode material with the highest specific capacitance value is 167 F/g.
