Rotary flow centrifugal separation is a kind of clean separation technology.The rotary fluidized bed is a new kind of gravity separation equipment based on the working principle of hydrocyclone and centrifugal separator.The experimental FHC100 rotary fluidized bed developed by the research group is mainly composed of seven parts:tangential feeding tube,rotating flow cylinder,separation cone,external storage cylinder,concentrated cone,underflow mouth and overflow mouth.According to the characteristics of the equipment,this study aimed at the feed pressure,the opening of the underflow mouth,the opening of the overflow mouth,insert length of the overflow pipe,the diameter of the overflow pipe,the number of sorting ring and feed grade seven factors,the relative flow ratio measurement experiment,coarse particle hematite,medium coarse particle hematite and fine particle hematite classification test and hematite sorting test with matching quartz ore.ANSYS software was used to study the flow field characteristics of the internal separation cone in swirl fluidized bed.Tangential velocity,axial velocity and radial velocity were analyzed.The simple stress analysis and kinetic equation analysis of the mineral particles in fluidized holes were carried out.The test results show that the rotational flow fluidized bed has better classification effect on the coarser grade under the optimum test conditions.The classification efficiency of-0.8mm+0.1mm grain is nearly 50%,The classification efficiency of-0.250.1mm grain is nearly 45%,and the classification efficiency of-0.074mm grain is nearly 36%.Under the condition of using the three-ring separation cone,the separation particle D50=-0.1mm+0.074mm.For the sorting test,when the selected grade is between 25%and 45%,the effect of the rotational flow fluidized bed on the lower grade is obvious,and the maximum can be increased by 6 percentage points.For the sorting test,when the feed grade is from 25%to 45%,the effect of the rotational flow fluidized bed on the lower grade is obvious,and the maximum can be increased by 6 percentage points.The 3D distribution of fluid velocity in the rotational flow fluidized bed,namely tangential velocity,radial velocity and axial velocity,is conducive to the construction of stronger centrifugal force field.The radial velocity is smaller than the tangential velocity and axial velocity,and has less influence on the construction of centrifugal force field.The abrupt change of the tangential velocity determines the change of centrifugal force for the mineral particles and provides favorable conditions for the separation of different density minerals.To sum up,study on the characteristics of centrifugal separating hematite by rotational flow fluidized bed provided a new train of thought for a lot of refractory hematite in China,and some reference for the further application of rotational flow fluidized bed in the field of mineral processing.
