At present, the study of Ming Dynasty has been paid more and more attention, and the discussion of social phenomena related to it has gradually entered the public vision. As an important phenomenon in the field of clothing, there are few special studies on it,which is mainly due to the complexity of the definition of “outrageous clothes”.As a concept of culture and evaluation,it reflects the concept of creation and aesthetics. This paper focuses on this concept, with women as the main subject,Ming Dynasty, especially the middle and late Ming Dynasty as the period, and urbanization as the main research perspective.“Outrageous clothes” is divided into “outrageous clothes” in writing context and “outrageous clothes” in aesthetic context. In this paper, the author took two changes as the main line, one is the change of writing structure of “outrageous clothes” phenomenon, the other is the aesthetic evolution of “outrageous clothes” phenomenon in the different period of Ming Dynasty, aiming to explore the reasons for its new changes in Ming Dynasty. In the first part, the author made general introduction to two variations mentioned before in this document, aiming to show outline of the changing course of “outrageous clothes” phenomenon and the fashion of this times, mainly drawing two conclusions:(1)the phenomenon of “outrageous clothes” experienced a transformation from enchantment to disenchantment, which is also a reflection of the change of epoch;(2)the phenomenon of "outrageous clothes" in the Ming Dynasty mainly occurred after Chenghua and Hongzhi period and peaked in the late Ming Dynasty, which is the reflection of the development of commercialized society and individualized aesthetics. In the second part, the author revealed the concrete phenomenon of “outrageous clothes” in the female dress in Ming Dynasty. The first feature is arrogation and identity dislocation, involving color, pattern, fabric, shape and not dressing according to sexual distinction, which are the common characteristics of the phenomenon of “outrageous clothes”,with the characteristics of anti-feudal code of ethics. Then, from the perspective of aesthetics, the new development in the Ming Dynasty includes competing for luxury, seeking novelty and seeking changes, reflecting the rise of the subject consciousness of current people. Finally, there are some depicts in the novel as a supplement. Finally, the author analyzed the reasons for the two variations of this phenomenon, which are divided into two aspects. The first aspect is the development of urbanization, which is a richer concept than the development of commercialization. The context of cities influences the trend of “outrageous clothes” from material basis and social composition. The second aspect is the change of social and cultural psychology, which is mainly discussed from three aspects: the heterodox thought such as the philosophy of the mind, the awakening of subject consciousness and the change of female concept. From the early Ming Dynasty to the rise of heresy such as neo-confucianism,the rise of human nature promoted the rise of diversified aesthetics. As for the concept of women, though there is no earth-shaking changes, there have been many new changes after the appeal of Li Zhi and others. From the perspective of women, these changes in thinking and life style have also played a positive role in the transformation of the phenomenon of “outrageous clothes”.“Outrageous clothes” makes us not only know the knowledge of costume design history, but also bring up our thinking of art criticism. In today’s era of rapid urbanization, the study of human creation and aesthetic concept in Ming Dynasty is also to a large extent a review of our own.Although the times are different, the transformation of “outrageous clothes” from a simple moral index to an aesthetic style also guides us how to currently treat today’s fashion leading or retro people.
