Because of the advantages of high specific strength and lightweight,aluminum alloy thin-walled parts are widely used in the main bearing structures such as aircraft girders and wall-boards.However,in the process of high-speed milling,it is easy to lose stability under the action of milling force,resulting in unstable milling.It not only restricts the machining quality and production efficiency of thin-walled parts,but also has a great impact on the service life of machine tools and cutting tools.Therefore,it is very important to study the selection of cutting parameters in high-speed cutting process.However,in actual machining,most of the selection of parameters depends on previous experience.How to select the appropriate cutting parameters is a problem to be solved.Therefore,this paper mainly focuses on the following contents for the process optimization of 5A06 High-speed Milling Thin-walled structural parts:Firstly,based on the theory of high-speed cutting and the finite element technology,the cutting process of 5A06 aluminum alloy is simulated by the finite element analysis software DEFORM-3D and LS DYNA dynamic simulation software,It includes the establishment of material constitutive model,geometric model,work-piece tool chip friction model and so on.Through single factor analysis,the change rules of milling force,tool temperature,tool wear and work-piece deformation are analyzed and summarized in different spindle speed,feed speed and back draft.Secondly,the milling experiments of 5A06 under different milling parameters were carried out by orthogonal design,by measuring the surface roughness after machining,the influence of various factors on the surface roughness is analyzed,and the optimal parameter combination is obtained,It provides a feasible reference scheme for machining 5A06 aluminum alloy thin-walled structural parts.Finally,the aluminum alloy 5A06 thin-walled structure,the hood,is used as the machining object for verification,Through the optimization of processing parameters,lubrication methods and other measures,on the premise of ensuring and improving the processing quality,the processing efficiency is improved and the processing time is shortened by half.The research results of this paper can be extended to the processing of thin-walled structural parts of similar materials.
