Objective:To study the Clinical characteristics and prognostic factors of gastrointestinal stromal tumor.Methods:By retrospective analysis in January 2007 to December 2012,Qingdao municipal hospital treated 118 cases of GIST patients treated by surgery clinical data,including clinical symptoms,pathological and immunohistochemical analysis,treatment and follow-up results,comparing the influence of related factors on the prognosis of patients.Result:There were 57males and 61 famales with age of 33-88 years old and median age 58 years old。Tumor locations:stomach59case,small intestine,35 case,colorectal 12 case,12cases were not found in gastrointestinal tract。Clinical presentation:abdominal bag piece 42 cases,abdominal pain and unwell 37 cases,24 cases of gastrointestinal bleeding associated with anemia,lower quadrant abdominal pain with rectal irritation in 5 cases,10 cases had no obvious symptoms.The time follow-up was from 1 to 73 monthsthere are 11 cases patients died。Log-rank regression analysis showed that tumor location,tumor size,tumor rupture and the mitotic count as related to the prognosis of patients with GIST.Cox regression analysis showed that the tumor location and the mitotic count were independent risk factors affecting the prognosis of patients with GIST(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Tumor location,tumor size,tumor rupture and the mitotic count as related to the prognosis of patients with GIST.2.The tumor location and the mitotic count were independent risk factors affecting the prognosis of patients with GIST.
