| ObjectiveUsing systematic reviews to assess the efficacy and safety of acupuncture and to provide evidence for the clinical application of acupuncture for the treatment of acute conjunctivitis.Based on the results,to provide direction and ideas for future clinical studies.MethodsStrictly-adopted inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria for comprehensive search of Chinese Biomedical Literature Database(CBM),Chinese Journal Full-text Database(CNKI),Chinese Sci-tech Periodical Database(VIP VIP),and Wanfang Zhonghua Medical Journal Chinese databases such as databases, and English databases such as Pubmed,EMbase,Cochrane Library, etc.,combined with manual searches, and supplemented by Baidu.Using the Cochrane systematic review method, the literature was screened through rigorous literature review, and a literature review of the final randomized controlled trial was performed based on the bias assessment tool provided by Cochrane handbook 5.1.0.RevMan 5.3 was used to treat acute conjunctivitis with acupuncture-related therapy.A number of similar studies were analyzed quantitatively or qualitatively(if the homogeneity of the included studies was poor),a systematic review was conducted to evaluate whether the acupuncture can quickly relieve the clinical symptoms of acute conjunctivitis, and acupuncture therapy was used to treat acute The effectiveness and safety of conjunctivitis.Provides reference for clinical treatment of acute conjunctivitis with acupuncture.ResultsA total of 21 randomized controlled trials of acute conjunctivitis treated with acupuncture and moxibustion were included.Four of them were bloodletting vs.western medicine for acute conjunctivitis, three were bloodletting with western medicine vs Western medicine for acute conjunctivitis, and three were bloodletting with Western medicine vs traditional Chinese medicine. With Western medicine in the treatment of acute conjunctivitis, and point moxibustion, acupuncture, acupuncture plus blood, magnetized front crochet plus bleeding, auricular injection plus bleeding with Western medicine, acupuncture plus bleeding with western medicine compared with Western medicine treatment of acute conjunctivitis each one.Out of the 21 articles,16 articles had the final effective rate as the outcome measure,3 articles took treatment as the outcome measure,1 took the main symptom score as the outcome measure, and 2 took the average recovery treatment time as the secondary indicator. The incidence of complications was a secondary indicator, and the disappearance of the main symptoms after one treatment day was a secondary indicator.Meta-analysis:Total Effectiveness:Simple bloodletting may be superior to western medicine alone in the treatment of acute conjunctivitis(RR=1.23,95%CI[0.97,1.56],P=0.0006);bleeding and western medicine may be better than western medicine(RR=1.10,95%CI[0.84,1.44],P<0.0001);Bloodletting+western medicine was superior to Chinese medicine+western medicine(RR=1.14,95%CI[1.05,1.24],P=0.63).Changes in the main symptoms of the disease:Bloodletting+ western medicine is better than simply using western medicine.Safety:Acupuncture is safe for acute conjunctivitis, but it is not possible to judge whether it is superior to other therapies.ConclusionThis systematic review confirms the effectiveness of acupuncture in the treatment of acute conjunctivitis, and the safety of acupuncture in the treatment of acute conjunctivitis is high, but because all the studies included in this systematic review are of general quality and the level of evidence quality is low, this systematic review The credibility of the results provided may be changed by future institutes. The implementation of more high-quality RCT clinical controlled trials can provide more basis for future evidence-based medicine and further demonstrate the effectiveness of acupuncture for the treatment of acute conjunctivitis. |
