Purpose:This study investigates the current status of sports injury and sports safety attitudes of junior high school students in the urban areas of southern Jiangsu,and examines the sports safety attitude of students with sports injuries and its three dimensions(motor safety perception,sports safety behavior,and sports safety emotions).The characteristics of the analysis are targeted to strengthen the junior high school students sports safety education,improve sports safety awareness and reduce the occurrence of sports injuries.Method:This study mainly used the questionnaire survey method as the main research method,and adopted a convenient sampling method.It investigated 600 junior high school students from the southern part of Jiangsu Province.The surveyed students were required to fill out the Questionnaire for Middle School Students' Sports Safety Attitudes and the Questionnaire on Sports Injury Among Junior Middle School Students in Southern Jiangsu.The two questionnaires were both qualified and valid,and both were valid questionnaires.A total of 585 questionnaires were retrieved and 551were valid.Using the independent sample T-test and one-way ANOVA,the current status of sports injury and sports safety attitudes of junior middle school students in the urban areas of southern Jiangsu,and the sports safety attitude and three-dimensional characteristics of students with sports injuries were analyzed.Results:(1)There were significant differences in sports injuries between junior and middle school students in the southern city of Jiangsu(2=4.02<0.05).There was no significant difference in sports injuries between junior high school students of different grades(2=2.95,P=0.05).In sports injury classification,different genders Junior middle school students had significant differences in injury urgency(t=-2.08,P=0.04<0.05),but there was no significant difference in other categories.Different grades of junior high school students had significant differences in injury urgency(t=2.26,P=0.02<0.05).The difference in categories is not significant.(2)Sports injuries in junior middle school students in urban areas of southern Jiangsu mainly focus on track and field,basketball,and football;the vulnerable areas are mainly concentrated on the lower limbs.(3)The sports injury rate of junior high school students in the urban area of southern Jiangsu is 69.69%.(4)There were no significant differences in sports safety attitudes and their three sub-dimensions among junior and middle school students of different genders;junior high school students of different grades had very significant differences in sports safety awareness(t=-3.23,P=0.001<0.01).There was no significant difference in safety attitude and other two sub-dimensions.(5)There was a significant difference in sports safety attitude between students with injury and without injury(t=-2.25,P<0.05);the frequency of sports injury was significantly different in sports safety behavior(t=-2.72,P=0.007<0.01).Attitude and other two subdimensions were not significantly different;the extent of sports injuries,injuries,technology-related injuries,skin or mucosal injury were not significantly different in the three aspects of sports safety attitudes and their sub-dimensions;Multiple comparisons,acute injuries and chronic injuries have significant differences in sports safety attitudes.Conclusion:(1)The sports injury rate of junior high school students in the urban areas of southern Jiangsu is higher.It is shown that boys are more prone to sports injuries than girls,and most of the injuries occur in basketball,football,and track and field competitions where the confrontation is strong.(2)There is no gender or grade difference in sports safety attitude of junior middle school students in sports injury in the south of the city.However,junior high school students have higher awareness of sports safety than the first grade students.(3)In terms of sports safety attitude characteristics of junior middle school students in sports injuries in the southern city of Jiangsu,there is no difference in sports injury attitude,technology-related injuries,and skin or mucosal injury.Sports safety is the highest among non-injured students;sports injuries often occur.The student's sports safety behavior is the highest;in the sports injury urgency,the acute injury student has the highest sports safety attitude.
