Objectives:To observe the effects of sujin xiaozheng decoction on the patients of the stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ lung squamous cell carcinoma with phlegm and blood stasis,and evaluate the effectiveness and safety of decoction sujin xiaozheng objectively,and provide new and effective prescriptions for clinical treatment of squamous cell carcinoma of stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ with phlegm and blood stasis.Methods:Thirty-four patients with stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ lung squamous cell carcinoma(according to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria)were randomly selected and divided into treatment group and control group,and 17 cases were observed in each group.During the study,because of the related patients did not take the drugs as required,2 cases in the treatment group were excluded,and two cases were excluded from the control group.Finally,30 cases were valid cases,which were 15 cases in each group.The treatment group was treated by symptomatically supported care,while the sujin xiaozheng decoction was joined in the control group on the basis of the treatment group.Before and after treatment,statistical evaluations were used in aspects of some indicators such as physical condition,the change of weigh,clinical symptoms of TCM,tumor size.The research also observed the safety during the treatment of TCM.Results:(1)Comparison of physical condition:there were relatively significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05),so the improvement of physical condition was much more better in the treatment group than the control group;(2)Comparison of weight:After treatment,the total weight stability was 73.33% of the treatment group,which was higher than the control group 40.00%,compared,with the control group was significantly different;(3)Comparison of TCM syndromes:The scores of TCM symptoms decreased between the two groups after treatment.Both groups could improve the patients’ cough,expectorating sputum,chest oppression,chest pain,tachypnea,blood sputum,poor appetite,lassitude and weakness after treatment.Compared with the control group,the total effective rate of the TCM syndromes in the treatment group was 80%,and that in the control group was 40%,The treatment group was superior to the symptomatic support treatment group inimproving TCM symptoms;4)Comparison of tumor changes:there was no statistically significant difference in tumor size between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05);(5)Comparison of safety:there was no abnormal change in blood safety,hepatic and renal functions,and electrocardiogram detection before and after treatment in the two groups.No allergic reaction was observed,and adverse reactions associated with Chinese medicine were not observed.indicating that the clinical treatment was safety and it worthy promoted.Conclusion:Sujin xiaozheng decoction combined with symptomatically supported treatment for the stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ lung squamous cell carcinoma with phlegm and blood stasis could improve the patient’s physical condition and clinical symptoms,increase or maintain body weight,and thus improve the patient’s quality of life.And no adverse reactions occurred in the treatment,which showed that during the prevention and treatment of lung cancer,traditional Chinese medicine had the advantages of less adverse reactions,safe and effective that western medicine did not have,and has broad application prospects.The observational results showed that the treatment of sujin xiaozheng decoction on the patients of the stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ lung squamous cell carcinoma with phlegm and blood stasis was safe and effective.
