Preliminary Exploration Of The Relationship Between The Nine Constitutions And Five Personality Characteristics Of Depression In Traditional Chinese Medicine And The Syndrome Types

Objective:To explore the distribution law of nine types of constitutional in Chinese medicine,five pattern personality and syndrome type in patients with depression,to find the susceptibility physique and personality type of depression,and to further analyze the correlation between syndrome type in patients with depression and nine types of constitutional in Chinese medicine and five pattern personality,and to provide evidence-based medical basis for clinicians to treat depression by using "Distinguish diseases-Distinguish constitutions-Distinguish syndromes "diagnosis and treatment model,play the role of traditional Chinese medicine in preventing and controlling depression.Methods:In this study,a cross-sectional investigation method was used to select 111 patients from the psychological Clinic of Hospital from January 2018 to January 2019,according to the inclusion criteria,to investigate general data and four diagnostic information of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),and to score relevant scale:including Hamilton Depression Scale,classification and determination table of nine types of constitutional in Chinese medicine,five pattern personality test questionnaire.Data of constitution,personality and syndrome were collected,and using SPSS20.0 software to carry on the statistical analysis to the data.Descriptive statistical analysis was conducted on general data,correlation analysis and non-parametric test analysis were conducted on depression scale,physique,personality and syndrome type,to explore the relationship between the nine constitutions of TCM and the personality characteristics of the five states and syndrome type of patients with depression.Results:1 A total of 111 patients with depression who met the criteria were included,including 76 females and 35 males,and the ratio of male to female was 1:2.17.The minimum age was 18,the maximum age was 77,and the average age was 39.27±14.8 years.71(64.0%)patients were aged 18-39,27(24.3%)patients were aged 40-59,and 13(11.7%)patients were aged 60 or above.24 patients(21.6%)with mild depression,67(60.4%)with moderate depression,and 20(18.0%)with severe depression.Generally speaking,there is no statistical significance in depression scale scores for different personality,personality,hobbies and family history of depression patients.The depression scale score of physical workers was higher than that of mental workers(P=0.040),and that of relapse patients was higher than that of first episode patients(P=0.000).2 Depression patients with nine types of constitutional in Chinese medicine frequency from high to low is:Qi-depression type,Yang-deficiency type,Balanced constitution type,Wet-heat type,Qi-deficiency type,Yin-deficiency type,Phlegm-wetness type,Special diathesis type,Blood-stasis type.There were differences in depression scale scores between different constitutions(P=0.016).Constitution between two comparison,Qi-depression type and Balanced constitution type high depression scale score(P=0.038).There were significant differences in the distribution of subject mass between different sexes(P=0.047),and the frequency of male physique was more frequent than that of Qi-depression and Wet-heat type,and the female was Qi-depression and Yang-deficiency type.3 Depression patients than the national norm Taiyin dimension score is high,The Taiyang,Shaoyang,Yin and yang balanced,Shaoyin dimension score is low.The personality dimension of Taiyin and the score distribution of depression scale were positively correlated,and the Taiyang,Shaoyang,Yin and yang balanced dimension were negatively correlated with the score of depression scale.4The unbalanced constitution type was higher than the balanced constitution type in Taiyin dimension score(P=0.019).Taiyin personality dimension score was negatively correlated with Balanced constitution type score(P=0.000),which was positively correlated with Qi-deficiency type,Phlegm-wetness type,Blood-stasis type and Qi-depression type(P<0.05).Shaoyin personality Dimension Score Qi-depression type,Blood-stasis type negative correlation(Qi-depression type P=0.001,Blood-stasis type P=0.037).There was a negative correlation between solar personality dimension score and Qi-depression type(P=0.001).There was a positive correlation between the personality dimension score and the Balanced constitution type(P=0.009),and the negative correlation between the Shaoyang and the Qi-depression type was negatively correlated(P=0.024).Yin and yang balanced personality dimension score and Balanced constitution type positive correlation(P=0.000),negative correlation with Blood-stasis type(P=0.016).5In this study,the frequency of the case was from high to low,followed by liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome,heart and spleen deficiency syndrome,kidney deficiency Liver Depression syndrome,hepatobiliary dampness and heat syndrome,Heart Qi-deficiency type syndrome,heart and kidney non-sex.Kidney deficiency Liver Depression type is more common,liver depression and spleen deficiency type of Qi-depression type is common,hepatobiliary dampness and heat type in the Wet-heat type quality is more common,cardiac and kidney non-intersecting type of Yin-deficiency type,heart and spleen two virtual type of Qi-depression type is common,heart Qi-deficiency type Qi-depression type is more common.There was no statistically significant difference in the scores of the five pattern personality among the syndromes.Conclusion:1 The constitutional types of depressed patients is dominated by Qi-depressed and Yang-deficiency.The constitutional types distribution of depression patients was different between the genders.The male patients were mostly of Qi-depressed and Wet-heat type,while the female patients were mostly of Qi depressed and Yang deficiency.2 Taiyin personality is not only the susceptibility factor of depression,but also affects the degree of depression,that is to say,taiyin personality dimension score is not only prone to depression,but also the degree of depression may be heavier.3There is a correlation between nine kinds of physique and five pattern personality in TCM,taiyin personality is positively correlated with Qi-deficiency type,Phlegm-wetness type,Blood-stasis type and Qi-depression type,Shaoyang personality,Yin and yang balanced personality and peaceful physique are related,Shaoyin personality,Taiyang,Shaoyang Personality and Qi-depression type negative correlation,suggesting that "multi-yin and less yang"personality is closely related.4The common syndromes of depression are liver depression and spleen deficiency,heart and spleen deficiency,kidney deficiency and liver depression.The common constitutional type is Qi-depression type.The five pattern personality structure is the same among different syndromes.
