Summary Of Professor Yao Chunhai's Clinical Experience In Treating Eczema

ObjectiveEczema is a common skin ailment.At present,its incidence is in increasing trend.Since the etiology and pathogenesis of this disease is not yet completely understood,yet there is no specific cure,especially the recurrent problem is an intractable problem.In this study,Yao professor’s clinical cases were sorted and summarized according to Yao professor’s clinical experience of treating Eczema.Clinical cases were differentiated by syndrome types of Chinese medicine,and analyzed by Yao professor’s unique train of thought treating eczema and significant way of using medicine.MethodsFirstly,study and arrange the classical ancient books of Chinese medicine,and elaborately describe the research progress of Eczema in traditional Chinese medicine.This study consists three parts;first,systematical study of how the ancient physicians understood Eczema;second,study of how the modern physicians understand Eczema and its clinical application;third,study of how the western dermatology understanding Eczema and its research progress.Lastly,via collect,sort,summarize and refine professor’s clinical experience,conclude a clinical experience summary of professor’s unique clinical treatment of Eczema.ResultProfessor Yao,by applying Chinese medicine theory,has unique and profound understanding of Eczema.He paid attention to both internal and external causes of Eczema,which includes pathological factors such as wind,dampness,heat,dryness and blood stasis,and the effects of heart,liver and spleen on the viscera function.He proposed three types of Chinese medicine syndromes,which are Damp-Heat syndrome(Heat exceeding),Damp-Heat syndrome(Damp exceeding),and Blood-Deficiency Wind-Dryness syndrome.Damp-Heat syndrome(Heat exceeding)was treated with "Long Dan Xie Gan Tang",Damp-Heat syndrome(Damp exceeding)was treated with"Bi Xie Shen Shi Tang",and Blood-Deficiency Wind-Dryness syndrome was treated with"Dang Gui Yin Zi",while daily care and emotional adjustment was told as an doctor’s advice.In the clinical study scored 88.0%of effective rate.Including 5 cases cured,13 cases remarkable,48 cases effective,and 9 cases of no effect.ConclusionProfessor Yao summarized the effective Eczema treatment of Chinese medicine,which is succession of the famous theory proposed the combination of Disease-Syndrome and Chinese-Medicine-Formula theory.He also paid attention to increasing patient’s quality of life by reducing skin pruritus,daily care and emotional counseling,and all together the clinical effect on the treatment of Eczema was very satisfactory.
