| Purpose:To observe the clinical effect of neck-acupuncture in treating patients who were suffering from dysarthria after stroke.Method:Seventy patients who met the criteria of diagnosis and inclusion were divided into treatment group and control group by using table of random number. Both groups received the same routine basic treatment. The control group was treated with language rehabilitation training only, while the treatment group was treated for language rehabilitation training along with plexus stimulation.Modified scale of Frenchay dysarthria assessment was applied before and after treatment respectively.Through comparing the levels of dysarthria before and after treatment between the treatment group and the control group, the author analyzed the data by statistical software, studied the differences and observed the clinical efficacy.Results:3 cases of the treatment group shed and the other 32 cases remained.2 cases of the control group shed, and the other 33 cases remained. Before treatment, factors of patients from both groups were statistically analyzed, including gender, age, stroke type, course of disease, modified Frenchay dysarthria scores and dysarthria levels. With P> 0.05,there were no significant differences and thus the two groups were comparable. After treatment, the Frenchay dysarthria score and dysarthria levels of the treatment group were higher than the control group, with raises in both groups. After statistically analyzing within each group before and after treatment, together with studying inter-groups after treatment,P was found to be less than 0.05(p<0.05).Therefore the differences were statistically significant. After treatment,as for treatment group,16 cases were markedly effective,14 cases were effective and 2 cases were ineffective, with a total effective rate of 93.8%.After treatment,as for control group,6 cases were markedly effective,18 cases were effective and 9 cases were ineffective with a total effective rate of 72.7%.All of them were statistically significant(P <0.05),which indicated that both treatment methods can improve patients’ dysarthria, and the efficacy of treatment group is clearly better than that of the control group.Conclusion:1.Neck-acupuncture with language rehabilitation training can effectively improve speech function of patients who suffered from speech dysfunction after stroke.2.Neck-acupuncture with speech rehabilitation training and simple speech rehabilitation are effective in treating dysarthria after stroke, and efficacy of the former is superior to the latter. |
