Purpose:To compare the clinical efficacy of arthroscopy combined with external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of middle-term knee osteoarthritis with that of arthroscopy alone in the treatment of middle-term knee osteoarthritis,Provide evidence-based basis for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis by the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicineMaterial and method:From September 2017 to December 2019,42 patients with knee osteoarthritis who were hospitalized in the second Department of bone,Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of traditional Chinese medicine were selected as the study object.Among them,12 were male and 30 were female. The age distribution of all the patients was between 42 and 78,with an average age of 62.21 years. The height distribution was between 155 cm and 183 cm,with an average age of 166.3cm.The weight distribution was between 48 kg and 90 kg,with an average age of 68.12 kg.The course of disease was between 1-72 months, with an average age of 22 months. The patients were randomly divided into two groups: the simple arthroscopic group and the external treatment group. The patients in the simple arthroscopic group received arthroscopic debridement, routine anti infection, analgesia and other symptomatic treatment and functional exercise. The patients in the one week after the operation were treated with external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine in the simple arthroscopic group. All patients filled in Lysholm score before and at the end of the fifth week, and compared the final data of the two groups with spss.24.0 software. Results: 1.There was significant difference between the two groups in the total improvement rate of Lysholm score(P < 0.05),and the arthroscopy combined with traditional Chinese medicine group was better than the simple arthroscopy group.2.At the end of five weeks after operation, there was a significant difference in the improvement rate of pain and swelling between the arthroscopic combined with traditional Chinese medicine group and the arthroscopic group(P < 0.05),and the improvement rate of the arthroscopic combined with traditional Chinese medicine group was better than that of the arthroscopic group, and there was no significant difference in the score of knee joint activity(P > 0.05)Conclusion: 1.Knee arthroscopic surgery(simple arthroscopic group)and external application of traditional Chinese medicine combined with knee arthroscopic surgery(arthroscopic combined with external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine group)knee osteoarthritis has a considerable effect in improving knee joint activity, relieving knee joint pain and eliminating swelling.2.The external application of traditional Chinese medicine has a positive effect on KOA patients after knee arthroscopy.Compared with the operation alone,it has advantages in relieving pain and swelling in the short term. |
