Study On The Distribution Of TCM Syndrome Types And Their Risk Factors In Young Patients With Erectile Dysfunction

Objective:To investigate the distribution of TCM syndromes,the different of biochemical indexes and sex hormone of TCM syndromes,risk factors and protective factors in young man with ED.Methods:A questionnaire was developed.85 cases of ED patients were collected from the male outpatient department of China-Japan Friendship Hospital and the TCM dialectical classification was collected.The age,Body Mass Index(BMI),5-item version of the international index of erectile function(IIEF-5),erection hardness score(EHS),Alanine aminotransferase(ALT),Aspartate aminotransferase(AST)、glucose(GLU),Low Density Lipoprotein(LDL),Hight Density Lipoprotein(HDL),Cholesterol(CHO),triglyceride(TG),creatinine(CR),homocysteine(HCY),Uric Acid(UA),total testosterone(TT)and prolactin(PRL)were collected and the database was established.Compared those serum index in different TCM syndromes.We collected consecutive 20-40 years health male people as control group which included 340 persons’ data,those included serum index of ALT、AST、GLU、LDLC、HDLC、CHO、TG、HCY、UA、CR.To found risk factors and protective factors in young men with ED.Result:The TCM syndromes of ED were 30 cases of downward damp-heat syndrome(35.29%),27 cases of qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome(31.76%),11 cases of deficiency of heart and spleen syndrome(12.94%),10 cases of decline of vital gate-fire syndrome(11.76%),5 cases of liver qi stagnation syndrome(5.88%),2 cases of fright and fear damage the kidney syndrome(2.35%).The erectile function of deficiency of heart and spleen syndrome was better than downward damp-heat syndrome and qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome(15.91±2.70 vs 12.33±4.62,P=0.021)、(15.91±2.70 vs 12.70±4.48,P=0.034).The HDL value of qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome was higher than downward damp-heat syndrome(1.28±0.31 vs 1.10±0.23,P=0.023).The CR value of deficiency of heart and spleen syndrome higher than decline of vital gate-fire syndrome(84.59±14.47 vs 74.17±6.02,P=0.048).The UA value of deficiency of heart and spleen syndrome was higher than qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome(484.91±140.92vs 412.83±72.92,P=0.044).Elevated GLU(OR=1.796,95%CI:1.234-2.613,P=0.000)、(OR=1.008,95%CI:1.004-1.011,P=0.000)were risk factors of young men with ED.Conclusion:Patients of downward damp-heat syndrome and qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome occupied a high ratio in young men with ED.The values of IIEF-5,HDL,CR and UA were helpful to distinguish some of TCM syndromes in young ED patients.Elevated GLU and UA were risk factors of young men with ED.
