| Implicit learning is an automatic process for human beings to obtain complex rules unconsciously. Its biggest feature is that it can be generated automatically, without the will or effort to acquire. It also means that implicit learning has a high practical value. The role of selective attention in implicit learning has been a hot topic. However, there are some differences in the study of this issue.Literature search shows that previous studies have focused on one or two dimensions. Moreover, most of the background stimuli were selected with irregular material. However, the number and rules of the stimulus background may have an impact on the effect of implicit learning. Therefore,it is necessary to further investigate the effects of selective attention on implicit learning in the context of multiple stimuli. In this study,100 college students were selected,Experiment 1 was conducted under the condition of two stimuli(letters and figures). In the case of two groups of stimuli, the subjects were asked to remember only once or both of the stimuli and have tests after learning. The results showed that: Implicit learning can occur under the conditions of selecting a group of stimuli and two groups of stimuli. But the former is better than the latter. In Experiment 2,we added a new rule of stimuli, the background(the color block),we studied the effects of selective attention on implicit learning under the condition of three stimuli, subjects were asked to remember a group, two group and three group stimulus sequence. The results showed that: under the condition of three different stimulus, the subjects were able to learn the serial stimulus. And when the cognitive dimension between the background and the target sequence was larger, learning can also occur without stimulation.Note that the correct rate under one condition is significantly higher than that in the two and the three, and there is no difference between the latter two.In the two experiment,we draw the following conclusions: first, when the stimuli of attention are similar to the dimensions of the stimuli that are not paid attention, the stimulation of attention can occur in implicit learning. However, when there is a big difference in the cognitive dimension, implicit learning can also occur even when there is no attention on the stimuli.Second, when you pay attention to a stimuli, the more the background information there is,the better the effect of selective attention. The number of background has little effect on the implicit learning effect when the stimulus is changed.Third, human cognitive resources can process and acquire more than two sequences of different rules at the same time. |
