Research On The "Faithful Object" Of Music Performance

In the field of music performance people show the most concern on fidelity.This paper will focus on the perspective of phenomenology,commentaries,philosophy,etc.Starting from the origin of fidelity,using the concept of fidelity to explore the diverse aspects,such as the creation intention of the composer,the physical and psychological influences of the sound of performance and to conduct a thorough research to the "text",etc.Because of the uncertainty of the composer`s intention and the multiversity in the sound of performance cause the subjectivity of the audience when they appreciate the works with identity and history,which led us to various difficulties in the pursuit of fidelity.Fidelity implies the standardization of objects;however,the standardization of objects does not really exist in music performance.Whether performers can understand the music is the key to the success.Hence,this paper will try to use the comprehension of music to replace “fidelity”,through the constant self-affirmation and self-denial,performers will have in-depth understanding to inject fresh blood into the interpretation of the work.
