On The Tragedy Narrative Of Chen Yingsong's Rural Narrative

Chenyingsong is the representative writer of bottom narrative in the new century,which mainly focus on rural themes,and rural narrative is its essence.Starting from his first novel Black Transom in the third issue of Shanghai literature in 1987,his rural narrative is a complex of suffering,which reflects the writer’s strong sense of tragedy.The villagers’ survival problems especially tragic conflicts,were placed from the social,natural and self-spiritual aspects.Those villagers not only need to face the intense social relations,but also need to deal with the contradiction between man and nature,and also face the tragedy caused by their mental defects,and the conflicts between the ideal and reality,which reflected the multiple thinking.He abandoned the popular way of writing,which reflected the multiple thinking,thoroughness and depth of his tragic consciousness.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the main body part is divided into five chapters.The introduction part mainly talks about four points: one is the basic connotation of Chinese and western tragedy consciousness;the second is to compare the fundamental difference between Chinese and western tragedy consciousness;the third is to expound the remarkable characteristics of Chenyingsong’s rural narrative tragedy consciousness;Finally,the research status and the research methods and innovations of this paper are summarized.In the first chapter,from the perspective of social tragedy,this paper discusses how Chenyingsong’s rural narrative presents the rural social relations tragically,including social system defects and the tragic existence of the common people,the stranger’s survival plight during social transformation,the tragedy of rural ethics distortion and female’s tragic fate.In the second chapter,from the aspect of natural tragedy,this paper discusses the fierce conflict between the survival of the villagers and the natural ecology,including the oppression of the natural environment to the survival of the villagers,and the heavy price of resisting the natural will.The third chapter discusses the spiritual causes of the folk tragedy from the perspective of self-spirit,including the spiritual defect of the villagers,and the spiritual pain of the great division between the reality and the ideal of the people at the bottom.The fourth chapter discusses the narration selection of deepening the tragic consciousness,which mainly discusses from unimportant people’s image and the extreme tendency of the tragic plot.The fifth chapter discussesthe causes of writer’s tragic consciousness,including the author’s experience,the compassion of intellectuals and the pursuit of realistic creation.The conclusion summarizes the contemporary significance of Chenyingsong’s tragic consciousness,including the significance of social reality,the revelation of preventing the superficial music sense of contemporary literature and the sublime of aesthetic value.
