The Rhythm Characteristics And Performance Interpretation Of Zhang Shuai's "Three Preludes"

"The three Preludes" "for the Piano" was created in 1998 by Zhang Shuai,a famous young composer of our country and a current teacher of the Department of composition of the Central Conservatory of Music.It has been more than ten years since the work has been created,during which time it has won numerous awards at home and abroad.It was also designated as a must-play track in the 2007 piano competition of the 6th "Ji nZhong Jiang" A ward for Chinese Music.The traditional Chinese pentatonic style,the complex changing rhythm type and the western non-tonality,chromaticism,jazz style composition technology in "The three Preludes" complement each other,and make it become the representative and the model of the Chinese modern piano creation.At the same time,this work shows that the new generation of composers in our country,headed by Zhang Shuai,have an innovative spirit,a reverence for life and the responsibility of contemporary young people.Therefore,the I think that this work has rich research value in piano playing,piano teaching and composing theory and technology.Looking through the collected domestic research materials,I find that the mainly researches about Zhang Shuai,s works,"the three Preludes" made in academic circles are divided into two categories:audio material,degree and periodical paper.Among them,the audio material is the live recording of Zhang Shuai's in-school competition in Shenyang Conservatory of Music.The thesis of degree and periodical basically revolves around the three aspects of the music form analysis,creative characteristics and performance technology of this work.I will explain my views through three chapters in this paper.The first chapter is the overview about Zhang Shuai and his works.Composer's learning,creative experience and the creative background of the "The three Prelude",a total of two sections of content will be introduced in the first chapter.Taking each prelude as an example the appeared rhythms types are summed up and analyzed in chapter 2.Chapter 2 is the innovation of this paper.Because my major is piano teaching and playing,so the technical difficulties in the three prelude's performance are summarized in chapter 3.I proceed with the rich rhythm type,one of the characteristics of this work,,and further study the artistic value of this work through the analysis of different rhythm types,and its combination with the melody and the embodiment of the theme.Then combining with my learning,practical performance experience and tutor's guidance,theoretical and technical help for others in learning,playing and teaching in the following aspects are provided:the link of melody,the treatment of pedals and the use of wrist.
