Li Tangjie was a famous neo-confucian scholar in the late Qing dynasty.Because of his noble character and profound knowledge,he had a certain influence whether he was a government official or a teacher in his hometown.He was different from the new Confucianism,which had been regarded as empty talk.He cared about the sufferings of the people and valued useful knowledge.Moreover,it is relatively open to the knowledge of the west,so the research on Li’s order will help us to further understand the development and influence of neo-confucianism in the late Qing dynasty.This paper is divided into three parts,according to the order of time.First of all,this paper discusses the official experience of Li crabapple from the year of Daoguang to the government of the government.He moved from education in Yunnan province to Guangdong for some time.Because Guangdong had an important position in the Chinese provinces at that time,it was actually a"promotion".Later,because of the Guangdong provincial governor Huang Entong,Fu Chengmei to a very old old people,ask the emperor for a job,but by the emperor daoguang severely criticized,eventually Li Tangjie was cut,returned home,he was teaching in home.He founded a group in Beijing to study neo-confucianism,and in Yunnan and Guangdong,where he served as minister of education and teaching at home,he had extensive influence at the time.He returned to the government of the Qing dynasty at the eleventh year of Xianfeng(1861).He was a responsible official,and he advised the emperor,first,to cultivate good moral character;Second,to enhance the authority of the government;Third,care for the lives of the people;Fourth,the method of pacifying rebellion.All this shows that he is considerate of the people.Secondly,this paper discusses the neo-confucianism thought of Li Tangjie.His new Confucianism is closer to Zhuxi and tries to integrate Wang Yangming’s thought.He emphasized(lie work of "self-denial",and unified the work of "self-control" in the work of "self-mastery".Therefore,it is necessary to realize the unity of "virtue" and "Taoism",which is consistent with Zhuxi and Wang Yangming’s internal and external claims.His new Confucianism thought was the embodiment of the academic comprehensive development in the late Qing dynasty,which was the ideological basis of his famous officials in the late Qing dynasty.Finally,the evaluation is made on the order.At the local level,he cared about the suffering of the people.In the central government,he proposed to improve the authority of the government.He had a good moral character and became a famous official in the late Qing dynasty.At the same time,the comparison between the apple and the Japanese.It is concluded that the two people are the representatives of neo-confucianism in the late Qing dynasty.The neo-confucianism thought of Li begonians contains the idea of "flexibility" and "doubt".The new Confucianism thought of the Japanese is contained in the idea of "persistence" and "slow".Mr Li is pragmatic,and the Japanese are often idle and impractical.It overemphasizes "courtesy" and "heart" and ignores "technology"knowledge.Mr Li has attached importance to "abstract" and "concrete".All in all,the Chinese people pay attention to the good parts of Chinese traditional culture,such as the thought of "change" and so on.He has a certain tolerance for western knowledge.His thought represents the connection between traditional thought and modern culture,not opposition.
