Prosocial behavior refers to all behaviors that conform to others, groups or social welfare, and ultimately benefit the individual development and social harmony. In order to improve the prosocial behavior of adolescents, this study used interpersonal trust as the intermediary variable to explore the influence mechanism of parents and peer attachment on the social behavior of adolescents.By revealing the relations among attachment, interpersonal trust and prosocial behavior,we can rich the application scope of relevant theory, providing meaningful guidance for solving the problem of education practice. In this study,we investigated 952 primary and middle school students to examine the mediating effect of interpersonal trust between attachment and adolescent prosocial behavior. We collect 808 valid questionnaires through paper survey and use SPSS20.0 and Mplus7.4 to analyze the data.By descriptive statistics, analysis of variance(ANOVA),correlation analysis and structural equation modeling(SEM),we found that:(1)There were significant differences in the attachment quality, interpersonal trust level and pro-social behavior of adolescents among gender, grade and whether they were monitors in class.(2)Adolescents’ attachment to parents and peers had a significant positive predictive effect on interpersonal trust and prosocial behavior;Interpersonal trust also had a significant positive predictive effect on prosocial behavior.(3)Interpersonal trust had partial mediating effect between attachment(parent-child attachment,mother-child attachment, peer attachment)and adolescent prosocial behavior. This study concluded that more attention should be paid to interpersonal trust and attachment and their roles in improving adolescent prosocial behavior.Overall, the cultivation of adolescent prosocial behavior should focus not only on the effects of family factors, school factors, and individual factors separately, but also on the combined influence of those factors.
