The elegiac address,a class of applied stylistic,which is closely related to the sacrifice's etiquette and funeral culture.Mid-tang dynasty is an important period which the style of writing and styles changed,especially the elegiac address.It contains many types and famous articles.Therefore,the study on Mid-tang dynasty's elegiac address not only can know the variations of the address,but also has a more comprehensive understanding about Tang dynasty's culture.This article is based on the research of Mid-tang dynasty's 256 elegiac addresses,it deals with the development and the different stylistics' creation of elegiac addresses,and reviews the research situation of Mid-tang dynasty's elegiac address.Influenced by the ancient Chinese prose campaign,the Mid-tang dynasty's elegiac address has changed:the fusion of different types of elegiac address's stylistics,the prose-style of the elegiac address's languages,the breakthrough in common structures of funeral oration and lament,and the application of traditional biographical and Fu art in the elegiac address.In addition,Based on the reading and analysis on articles of HanYu,LiuZongyuan,BaiJuyi and YuanZhen,Mid-tang dynasty's elegiac address is much better in "true feelings" and have breakthrough in style and skills.The last one,from the point of culture,the Mid-tang dynasty's elegiac address has reflected different appeal's patterns to spirits,the influence on the view of life and death by Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism,and the ideal image of women and the image of different women's roles.
