Research On The Application Of Traditional Chinese Patterns In Poster Design

In the five thousand years of China’s history,our ancestors have created rich and colorful Chinese traditional patterns,such as flower,fish,insects and other creatures in the nature.Among all of those patterns,the lotus occupies a very important position.People create the beautiful patterns by means of symmetry,repetition and contrast,as well as symbols,homophony and metaphor.With the progress of history,the development of science and technology and the continuous integration with foreign cultures,lotus patterns have formed many colorful art forms,which are the source of modern poster design and add a strong cultural connotation to modern poster design.This paper chooses the typical Chinese traditional patterns of lotus pattern as the research object,from the historical evolution of the lotus patterns,culture background,analyze and summarize the characteristics of modelling,colour collocation and apply it to the modern poster design,which greatly improves the application value of Chinese traditional dermatoglyphic pattern in modern poster design.With its rich and diverse forms and unique aesthetic connotation,lotus occupies a very important position in China’s long history and culture.Through the analysis and research of lotus patterns,this paper summarizes the design methods of applying lotus patterns in modern poster design,and explores the application in practice.Through the application of the design method of lotus patterns,it can be used as reference for other auspicious patterns,and offer more possibilities for the development of modern poster design in China.
