| The "12 Earthly Branches" contains a lot of cultural information of the earthly branches,and it has become the unique cultural phenomenon of the Chinese people with its unique implication and timing way,and the "12 Zodiac" which echoed with the "12 Earthly Branches" representing the concept of blessing as a symbol of the zodiac culture.The "12 Zodiac" has the unique value and artistic charm by enriching and affecting the Chinese people’s cultural spirit as the scale of time runs through the people’s lives.The author launches the graduate design with "12 Earthly Branches and zodiac" as the topic in order to inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation and create an accurate meaning,rich and vivid image of the new text graphics by combining the character form of "Chinese Zodiac" and the visual image of "12 Branches" at the same time.Firstly,the author excavated the cultural connotations of the zodiac and the relationship between the "12 Earthly Branches and the Zodiac" and learned the cultural essence of the theme deeply in the study of design.Secondly,the author decided to use the image,which combines the "12 Branches" character and "12 Zodiac" as the concept of design finally.Then,the author grasp the "12 Zodiac" image of the visual characteristics tightly to consider creative ideas which fuzzy and summarize the shape of the difference between them,to explore the potential of the common modeling elements,and to transform it into a visual image,and then make the artistic effect which the integration of text and graph by connecting the "12 Earthly Branches" character and "12 Zodiac" image to be "harmonious" symbiosis concordantly.Finally,the author create a new oriental style of art character posters with the original engraving art,spiritual vivid character image,delicate and rich color changes,free and flexible layout form in order to enhance the visual expressiveness and artistry of the "12 Earthly Branches and Zodiac" further. |
