Language is the carrier of culture.The disappearance of a language results in the death of a culture,an irreversible loss for human history and ecological knowledge.It is an important method to study the mechanism,why language is endangered,and the feasibility that language policy is implemented through social simulation model.At present,the main simulation method used in the study of language competition is the modeling of agent-based complex network.The main problems in the study are as follows:(1)The network is static,whose agents have no lexical structure.In the previous study,we have modeled the dynamic social network of language competition with lexical structure,but we did not analyze the dynamic characteristics of the system.(2)With the development of transportation,communication and media technology,the inter-regional flow of people and remote social contact have become important factors affecting language communication.Previous studies of language social network did not consider the impact of these factors.(3)In the social simulation model of language,only the contact and competition factors are considered,the impact of the ecological environment of language is less involved.Culture is the living environment of the language.The absence or decay of the cultural environment make language endangered faster.On the contrary,the prosperity of culture is conducive to protecting language.In order to solve the above problems,the following aspects are studied in this paper:(1)The thesis presents a new microscopic social simulation model of language competition based on the multi-agent and social circles theory.Agents of the model are characterized by vocabulary structure.The model can show the macroscopic process of language evolution through the evolution of the vocabulary structure of speakers.The dynamic characteristics of the system are analyzed by means of computational experiments,such as the correspondence between the parameter space and the coexistence of language,the possibility that it can make the system evolution to the coexistence of language by adjusting the control parameters.(2)The thesis improves modeling method based on the multi-agent and social circles theory.The constructed network is a dynamic social network with regional structure,inter-regional linkage and population mobility.Based on the new social network model,this thesis proposes the social simulation model for cultural evolution.In the model,the influence of the factors such as the cultural openness,the cultural status,the stability of the cultural fusion,and the attraction of the Bi-culture to the single culture are taken into account.It reflects that the cultural cohesion,which is expressed by cultural consciousness and Bi-cultural influence,is an important force to guide the cultural system from assimilation or opposition to fusion.This model can provide a new idea for the protection and prosperity of cultural diversity.(3)The thesis proposes a language competition simulation model coupling culture based on the model of cultural evolution.The model considers the influence of cultural environment on language competition:cultural evolution influences individual cultural identity,cultural identity influences individual language attitude,language attitude influences language learning and inheritance.The experimental results show the influence of cultural identity on the evolution of language competition.It reveals the mechanism of the interaction between cultural identity and language evolution,and then from the perspective of the interaction between culture and language,it explains the influence of cultural protection on the evolution of language competition.The results of the study make the trend of language evolution to be reduced and predicted and show the factors affecting the evolution of language competition.The study provides a virtual method and computational experiment platform for the further study of the rule of language evolution and the mechanism of policy regulation in future.It is theoretical basis and decision support for the government to develop the language protection policy,which has certain theoretical significance and social value.
