The text of translation practice is selected from educational policy advisory report,Supporting Students with Special Educational Needs Schools(Chapter 2 and 3),which is about the assessment for the current Ireland special education policy and the policy consultative advise for the disadvantages of assessment of current special education policy.Policy advisory report belongs a typical informative text,according to the functional text typology.From the perspective of sentence pattern translation,the author sums up and explains the use of structural ambiguity sentence in the original text.Under the guidance of Newmark’s communicative translation theory,this paper mainly adopts the translation method of transforming part of speech,adjusting the word order.Considering the professional level of the original text and the acceptance of the target language readers,the author can achieve the purpose of communicative translation by adding the translator’s note as the sub-text of the target text.
