With the improvement of comprehensive national strength,the cultural soft power of our country is becoming stronger and stronger,and the number of Chinese learners is also increasing day by day.According to UNESCO statistics,there are about 1.6 billion people who can speak Chinese,ranking first in the number of the world's population using languages(one fifth of the world's population using languages),while English,as the world's common language,is one of the most widely used languages in the world.Although Chinese and English belong to different language families,they have similarities.Both of them have affixes,and they both play an important role in the formation of new words.Based on the theory of lexical meaning category,this paper takes the Outline of Level of Chinese Vocabulary and Chinese Characters as the research object,takes questionnaire and HSK dynamic composition corpus as the corpus source,carries out quantitative statistics of noun suffixes in Outline of Level of Chinese Vocabulary and Chinese Characters,and classifies them according to the types of meaning,and chooses "-er,-head,-member,-family,-hand,-long,-fan,".There are 23 suffixes of-ghost,-learning,-degree,-style,-sense,-wind,-race,-heat,-sex,-blindness,-Chinese,-bar,-boundary,-teacher,-circle,which are compared with the corresponding English vocabulary one by one.Through research and analysis,this paper puts forward some teaching suggestions for English-speaking students to learn Chinese NOUN suffixes.This paper is divided into six parts:The first part is the introduction,which mainly elaborates the background,purpose,significance,writing methods and ideas of the topic.The second part is the literature review.The first part is to sort out the previous research results,make a brief summary,and find out the research gaps.The second part is to summarize the current research situation of Chinese and English noun suffixes and compare the similarities and differences,and further study.The third part is the comparison of affix derivation between Chinese and English.According to the statistics of the number of suffixes in the Outline of Level of Chinese Vocabulary and Chinese Characters,the statistical results are sorted out according to the types of meanings,and the rules of word formation of suffixed nouns in Chinese and English are summarized.The fourth part investigates the use of Chinese noun suffixes by English-speaking students.The fifth part is teaching suggestions.One is the feasibility demonstration of affix grading teaching;the other is the teaching suggestions,including the suggestions of classroom explanation,training and the type or mode of teaching materials;the third is the design of teaching plans.The last part is the conclusion of this paper,which summarizes the viewpoints of this paper,as well as the innovation and shortcomings of this paper.
