The Traditional Zheng Music Is Back To The Basics

In the history of more than two thousand years,the form of the guzheng has been constantly changing.From the ancient silk string guzheng to the steel string guzheng to the 21-string nylon wrapped string guzheng,it can be said that the shape of the guzheng is constantly being perfected.Today’s guzheng music is divided into two categories: traditional and modern.In today’s rapid development,the guzheng professional group represented by 11 music colleges nationwide pays more attention to the exploration and learning of modern guzheng music.Traditional zither music is indifferent,and for the inheritance of zither,the study of traditional zither is very necessary and important.The steel string guzheng is the product of the reform of the guzheng instrument,and it is also the most suitable carrier for the traditional genre guzheng music.Its long reverberation and gorgeous tone can retain the artistic characteristics of the guzheng music of each genre to the greatest extent.This paper attempts to study the development of the zither,the rise and fall of the steel string guzheng,and the significance of the steel stringguzheng in the traditional zither,thus callingon the contemporary zither to return to the use of the steel string guzheng in the traditional zither.
