2018 Albania Tourism Management Project Lecture Interpretation Practice Report

This report is based on a task of English to Chinese consecutive interpreting which was conducted by the author of this report for the Seminar on Tourism Management and Tour Guide for Albania of 2018.The content of report focuses on a lecture given by the representative of Albania to the Chinese side during the exchange meeting of CHINA CYTS TOURS HOLDING CO.,LTD.field lectures.This report is a comprehensive summary of the interpreting activities the author did.First of all,this report briefly describes the contents and the process of the task,and after the task,the author conducted his own and the seminar members’ evaluation of this task,from which the author benefited a lot.Secondly,the chapter Case Analysis is the core part of the report.The typical cases are selected for analysis of such problems as the misinterpretation,omission,the mental state of the interpreter and the problems the author encountered in the course of interpreting.In combination of the author’s practical activities and professional knowledge,the report analyzes the causes of the problems that occurred in the task and gives corresponding solutions.Finally,the author summarizes this task by combining the professional knowledge he has learned with the real activities in the task.Through the task of interpretation and the completion of relevant reports,the author wishes that the report could provide some reference for MTI students and interpreters in future.
