As an auxiliary means of second language teaching,the importance of cultural teaching is self-evident.As an important part of a country’s national culture,taboo culture reflects the country’s customs and beliefs to a certain extent,so it is necessary to promote taboo culture teaching in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The author found that the implementation and teaching effect of taboo culture teaching in Thai primary and secondary school culture teaching were not very ideal when he was a Chinese teacher volunteer in Samutsakhonwittayalai School.This paper takes taboo culture in teaching Chinese as a foreign language as the research object,focuses on exploring the differences between Chinese and Thai taboo culture and the reasons leading to the current situation of taboo culture teaching in Thai primary and secondary schools,and tries to put forward relevant suggestions.The first chapter,by analyzing the definition and characteristics of taboo culture,the article divides taboo culture into six categories:name and appellation taboo,word taboo,topic taboo,color taboo,religious taboo and social taboo.By comparing Chinese and Thai taboo cultures,it is found that there are great differences between Chinese and Thai taboo cultures.At the same time,based on the comprehensive development of Chinese primary and "of Chinese textbook first" the taboos in the two sets of teaching Chinese culture content of the investigation,two sets of Chinese textbooks is summarized in the taboo culture content writing commonalities and differences,it’s found that the development of Chinese primary comprehensive are "Chinese tutorial first volume of" more practical.In the second chapter,through the WeChat social platform and in the form of an electronic questionnaire,Chinese teachers who teach in Thailand are surveyed to learn about the current situation of taboo culture teaching in Thailand.It is found that the teaching experience of Chinese teachers in schools is insufficient,the class curriculum is unreasonable,the quality of Chinese teaching materials is uneven,and the Chinese level of students is seriously polarized,which are important factors affecting the promotion of taboo culture teaching in Thailand.At the same time,through the investigation,comparison method,dialogue type teaching method,avoid type teaching method and the body in culture teaching methods four taboo culture teaching methods in the use of Thai culture class,found the contrast teaching methods and teaching methods,avoid type body in culture teaching method is suitable for Thai students to learn the characteristics of the taboo culture teaching methods.The third chapter mainly aims at the problems existing in the teaching of Thai taboo culture,and puts forward Suggestions on the teaching of Thai taboo culture from the two aspects of schools,teachers and students,hoping to provide reference opinions for the future research on Thai taboo culture teaching and Chinese teachers who teach in Thailand.
