When it comes to ancient Chinese figure paintings,Cui Zizhong and Chen Hongyu of the late Ming Dynasty must be characters that cannot be ignored.The focus of this paper is on the artistic style of Cui Zizhong’s painting characters,and it is intended to bridge the gap between ancient paintings and meticulous figure paintings in contemporary contexts,and to think about ways to achieve in the current creation.Borrow the word "new".This topic actually stems from the problems encountered in the study of life and the reflections that come into being.In the creation of contemporary meticulous figure paintings,it is not surprising that the word "opening new" is not surprising.It seems that creation is equivalent to innovation to a certain extent.It is necessary to constantly find out the language that has never been used before,in order to be based on the torrent of the times..From the perspective of my own creative sentiment,the problem I face is the increasingly westernization of the picture,or the weakening of the unique language of Chinese painting.The so-called Chinese painting language is naturally not a unique tool on the paper(not to mention the current creation is no longer limited to painting tools),but a long-standing artistic style with rich Chinese aesthetic temperament.With the development of the times,our social environment and lifestyle or our beliefs have been very different from the ancients.Open cultural exchanges and mutual accommodation have made our lives accept too many Eastern and Western factors,such as the most Significantly,we no longer write with a brush every day but take a more convenient hard pen.This change will have a great impact on the same Chinese calligraphy.So in this contemporary context,when it comes to objective art,how to continue the Eastern way of thinking from ancient times,how to find the right language to show high-level oriental aesthetic taste in contemporary painting,reflecting the unique Nationality and historical coherence? So the word "borrowing the new" has become especially important.How can "borrow the ancients" to better "open up new" ? How to blend organically and harmoniously between "ancient" and "new" is a question worth pondering.Starting from the objective picture of Cui Zizhong,this thesis combines the paintings in three aspects: the painting theme,the painting language and the role played by the characters in the picture,to explore the artistic style and characteristics of Cui Zizhong in the painting of figure painting.Then refine the head of the character,the hand,the foot,the posture,the color of the picture,etc.,and compare and link the work with the works of the contemporary pen figure painting to find the difference between the ancient and modern creations.Common,to explore the appropriate "borrowing ancient" approach in contemporary creation,in order to obtain some inspiration for the current creation.
