The Han dynasty was an important period for the establishment,development and perfection of stone carvings.Over the past four hundred years,a large number of stone carvings have appeared,and we can witness the important process of the formation,shaping,development and maturity of the form and system.As the carrier of stone carvings,stone carvings are not only the carrier of words,but also the embodiment of people’s living conditions,writing habits and their understanding of the universe and the world from the perspective of macro art history.The basis is not only related to practical needs,but also influenced by the cultural background,thoughts,material needs,productive forces and aesthetic needs.We cannot discuss the form and system of stone carvings without calligraphy,nor can we discuss the aesthetics of calligraphy without the form and system of stone carvings.This paper studies and discusses the development process of stone carvings in many aspects,and tries to combine literature,geography,sociology and other related disciplines.Based on the on-the-spot investigation and combining with the achievements and literatures of the Jin Shi studies in the past dynasties,this paper not only studies the calligraphic significance of stone carvings,but also analyzes their historical and philosophical significance.The paper is divided into five parts.They are the introduction,the background of the large number of stone carvings in the Han dynasty,the investigation of the stone carvings and their forms,the characteristics and development of the stone carvings in the Han dynasty,and the significance of the stone carvings in the Han dynasty.In the introduction,it mainly introduces the concept,purpose and significance of the research object,and clarifies that the concept,purpose and significance of the research object is the basis and premise of the research.Determine the scope and source of research materials,master the research status of related subjects at all times and at home and abroad to collect and sort out research materials comprehensively and carefully.Finally,the research methods adopted in this paper are listed.The first chapter is the background of the appearance of stone carvings in Han dynasty.The prosperity of stone carvings in the Han dynasty was closely related to the social background and ideology of the Han dynasty.In the Han dynasty,filial piety was promoted to govern the country and the system of filial piety contributed to the social atmosphere of paying attention to fame and festivals.In the eastern Han dynasty,the ritual of going to the tomb was implemented and the system of royal sacrifice to ancestors’ mausoleum was established,which provided conditions for the appearance of stone carvings in large Numbers.The three sections of this chapter start from the social background of the Han dynasty,and start from the political,economic,cultural background and belief pursuit of the Han dynasty,respectively,to restore the social ideology of the Han dynasty when stone carvings appeared in large Numbers,and the influence of social background on stone carvings.The second chapter is the study of stone carvings and their forms in the Han dynasty.In the first section,the main distribution of stone carvings in the Han dynasty was divided into regions based on the field investigation of literature,and the regional characteristics of the forms and forms were further discussed.Section ii and section iii mainly sort out the main forms and types of stone carvings,and determine the main forms and types of stone carvings.The research on the development of stone carvings and forms and types also provides reliable materials for the later research on functions,printing and engraving techniques,style and rules.The third chapter is the characteristics and development of stone carvings in Han dynasty.The appearance,maturity and maturity of the Han dynasty were not achieved at one stroke,but gradually developed.In this process,it was affected by many factors,and was closely related to the practical purpose of stone carving and the development of printing technology.In the four sections of this chapter,the author analyzes the relationship between stone engraving functions,printing techniques,style,rules and forms,and the internal relations of stone engraving through pictures and charts.Combined with the multi-disciplinary research perspective,this paper attempts to explain the complete development of stone carvings in the Han dynasty.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the significance of stone carvings in the Han dynasty.The development of stone carvings in the Han dynasty has exerted a profound influence on later generations.The development of form and system is accompanied by the label of The Times and cultural branding.Social,economic,cultural and belief pursuits infiltrate into each stage of form and system development.The unique cultural significance reflects the spirit of The Times and cultural symbols,and is the manifestation of the improvement of social civilization.And the aesthetic significance is the aesthetic significance brought to us by the shape and structure,which is mainly reflected in the inscriptions and the printing process,the design and carving process of the decorative patterns,the design of the head and the base of the tablet,etc.,all of which have extremely high aesthetic value.These designs also influence today’s artistic aesthetics;the layout of calligraphy works and so on.The conclusion of this paper summarizes the content of the whole paper and points out the existing style and future research ideas in the research process.
