Research On The Cultural Dilemma Of Ghost Videos

Guichu videos,a product of the post-subculture world,serve as a tool for the young people to resist the mainstream cultures through the Internet.In view of the youth subculture,the thesis focused on some Guichu videos and analyzed their styles and the cultural plight they are confronted with.In the general context of youth subculture,Guichu videos distinctively features splicing and re-editing,entertaining purposes,and marginalized perspectives.It is worth noting that while Guichu culture has been challenging the dominance of the mainstream culture,and in so doing,expressing the resistive consciousness towards it,Guichu culture also encounters the plight of the lack of subjectivity and the decline in strength.This thesis conducted an in-depth study into several representative Guichu videos published in recent years,on which basis an analysis was made about its manifestations and cultural impact,leading to the discovery of the deeper reasons behind this phenomenon.
