Idioms as a form of slang are widely used in everyday conversation and have the fixed pattern.They have strong vitality which is generated and developed ceaselessly as widely used in spoken language.It is not only able to express rich experiences in people’s social lives but also a product of national culture.Studying idioms is very meaningful for study of teaching as well as for practical operation of language.Emotion,shape,spirit of humans are all transmitted through body.Among human’s body regions,head plays much more pivotal role than others.The five organs of face are the representative sensory organs.Therefore,this study was carried out with the subject of the five organs related idioms in Korea and China to examine the five organs related idioms in Korea and China classified by comparison of meaning and expression,comparison of characteristics in lexical meaning.For the comparison of meaning and expression,we examined it classified in four kinds,which are same patterns of synonyms,homographs,different patterns of synonyms and China-specific idioms.For the comparison of characteristics in lexical meaning,we explained the characteristic significances in idioms related each region of those five organs.Then,we carried out comparative study of differences and commonimities in the meaning of those five organs related Korean idioms and Chinese idioms.After that,we presented an effective plans for learning and education of Chinese idioms.We hope that thie study is helpful for the persons who learn idioms of Korea and China.
