Reading has long been acknowledged as a key part of senior middle school English teaching.However,the present circumstances and effects of the teaching of reading are not so ideal.Mainly because some students do not pay attention to English learning while others even want to give up English,especially the reading comprehension that is a little difficult.The writer of this study prefer adopting a new learning strategy to improve the situation of English learning.This strategy can make students improve their reading achievement.This study,based on the fact that current English reading comprehension is intended to investigate and analyze the eighth grade students’ reading achievement,innovative capability and their grades by means of modern education science and psychology.This study do a research on mind map to find relationships among mind map、achievement motivation and reading grades.According to this research,the writer can put forward suggestion to the English reading teaching.This study is based on the fact that current English reading comprehension to analyze the correlation among mind map、achievement motivation and reading grades.The research is based on an empirical study with 60 students(30 in each class)from two parallel classes in Grade Two of x x Junior High School of He Nan Province as research subjects,one is used as the experimental class and the other used as the control one.After comparing students’ marks before and after the training,the writer found that there appeared great progress in the marks of the experimental class after the training.The students who get high grades can hold high achievement motivation.This proves this training is very effective and efficient.This study shows that mind map can have a huge influence on students’ reading grades and achievement motivation.Therefore,English teachers should raise their awareness of the importance of application of Mind Map in their reading classes,and make every effort to improve the quality of their reading teaching,which will serve as a necessity to improve students’ reading abilities and stimulate students’achievement motivation.Students can finish their reading task more effective.
