The studies on moral judgment and weight are becoming more and more mature, but there are few studies on event-related potentials(ERP)between moral judgment and embodied cognition. In this study, the weight effect in different moral judgment experimental paradigms was studied by using response time measurement and ERP technology. There are three experiments in this study. In one study, participants were asked to judge simple neutral and immoral words while wearing a backpack. The study found that when the participants were wearing light backpacks, they judged neutral words for shorter periods of time, but had no effect on immoral words. In the second study, the implicit association experimental paradigm and event-related potential technology were used to make the subjects carry backpacks with different weights and judge the weight-related words and ethically related words. The experiment found that there was no significant difference in weight effect in the reaction time data, while the weight effect showed difference in ERP.The weight effect induced the change of N200 component. For the subjects with light backpack,we observed that the electrodes on the left frontal lobe of the scalp were more likely to induce a larger N200 amplitude under the condition of "metaphorical consistency".Participants judged words more likely to conflict with the light backpack under the condition of "metaphorical consistency".This suggests that the weight effect does not disappear in the more difficult experimental paradigm. It also shows that the effects of body weight on moral judgment are not consistent. In study 3,we use the sentence ending paradigm to study the moral-related events. No significant weight effect was found in the behavioral data and the ERP components. The weight effect affects the N1 component, and carrying a light backpack will increase the N1 component.
