Using Illustrations As A Method: Information Translation And Visual Expression Of Illustrations

Illustration,generally considered as a kind of painting with reproducibility and explanatory,is attached to the text.This article aims at the performance methods and development status of illustration art under different functions.On the one hand,it returns to the original explanation of illustration,and on the other hand,it appears in a variety of expression methods and is applied in various fields.This paper analyzes the necessity of the expansion of the definition of illustration,and discusses the functional transformation,technique derivation and connotation change of contemporary illustration art.This paper analyzes the visual cultural background of the "information age",discusses the functional transformation of the illustration art and the objective reasons for the use of various means of expression.Then,starting from the graphic interpretation and visual presentation of information,this paper analyzes the needs of different fields for illustration art,such as visual representation,analysis ability,communication effect,acceptance,etc.This paper highlights the demand and performance characteristics of "using diagram as method",and analyzes the necessity and rationality of its existence.Through case analysis,the paper discusses the function of diagram in various fields and its influence on current visual culture,which can inject new vitality into the development of contemporary illustration art and provide basis and reference for further research.
