On Chen Zhongshi's Short And Novel Novels

Short and medium-sized novels are an indispensable part of Chen Zhongshi’s literary works.They are closely related to the novel Bailuyuan,neither of which exists in isolation.Therefore,this paper will take Bailuyuan as an intermediary to explore the similarities and differences in the characterization,emotional position and national cultural attitude of the short and medium-sized novels before and after,analyze the linear thinking thread throughout Chen Zhongshi’s creative career,and explore the inseparable relationship between the short and medium-sized novels and Bailuyuan in a holistic way of thinking.The first chapter of this paper will rely on the specific text,analyze the similarities and differences between the similar plot content and the same characters in Bailuyuan and the short and medium stories.The appearance of Bailuyuan was not achieved overnight,but was the product of Chen Zhongshi’s long-term accumulation of life experience and life experience.The text content and specific plot in his early short and medium-sized novels were reproduced in Bailuyuan,and the same characters were enriched in spiritual connotation and reshaped in psychological structure,such as the portrayal of black baby and white spirit in character There are great differences between the short story and the long story in terms of life experience.Therefore,the creation of the early middle and short stories plays an important role in laying the foundation for Bailuyuan.The second chapter of this paper will focus on the emotional and attitudinal "changing" process that Chen Zhongshi experienced in his early short and medium-sized novels to the creation of Bailuyuan in dealing with traditional Confucian culture.For the same protagonist,he uses two styles to depict,and the differences between them convey Chen Zhongshi’s growing concern for individual subjective consciousness.At the same time,Chen Zhongshi’s attitude to traditional Confucian culture can be roughly summed up as the changing trend of "identity-total negation-re identity" through the cross comparison of different short and medium-sized novels.In this difficult transformation process,he gradually realized the objectivity of the judgment position,the macro three-dimensional of the observation perspective and the comprehensive and perfect of the narrative angle.The third chapter of this paper will focus on the analysis of the self-conscious excavation of traditional regional culture and other aspects,the basic role of Bailuyuan in the later short and medium-sized novels.The regional national cultureand national character have been further demonstrated in the creation after the long novel Bailuyuan,especially the novels represented by the series of "three Qin characters imitating",which reflect Chen Zhongshi’s praise and promotion of the unique spiritual and cultural temperament of the people in Northern Shaanxi and Guanzhong.In addition,taking Bailuyuan as an intermediary,analyzing the similarities and differences of Chen Zhongshi’s traditional cultural attitudes and hero portrayal in his early and later short stories will help us to further understand the inheritance and development of his creative practice.For the study of Chen Zhongshi’s short and medium-sized novels before and after,we can’t separate them from the novel Bailuyuan and make an isolated analysis.They have the coherence and consistency of narrative structure,artistic method and inner spirit.Chen Zhongshi has always been committed to the modern exploration of traditional culture and the reflection of modernity,and has completed the cultural re identification and psychological restructuring of Chinese traditional Confucian civilization.Therefore,paying attention to the development and change of his creative process will further promote our deep understanding of his overall creative situation.
