Ravel's early piano suite Mirrors is the work that created under the influence of impressionism. This impressionistic musical work inherits the French classical tradition, and also has some innovative elements in it,because of these reasons it used to be called as a unique impressionistic work. This complex suite combined with five movements. These five pieces of the Mirrors have different styles and the melody vividly depict the image of the music.Ravel took the traditional trilogy style, variation style, rondo style and so on in this suite, and on this basis he made a bold innovation, mixing the modern music factors in his pieces. As a result,it finally formed Ravel's unique impressionistic music style. On the basis of a deep understanding of the music, this paper analyzes the performance of such elements as timbre, rhythm, beat and acoustics, and takes the last piece of the suite La Vallée Des Cloches as an example to compare the different approaches from different pianists, like the speed of the performances, the mood of the music and so on.Hoping it can provide a reference for future performances.
