| Balin Grassland refers to Balinzuoqi and Balinyouqi two sites.The prehistoric cultures involved include Xinglongwa Culture and Hongshan Culture,which lasted for about 3,000 years.The jade wares of Xinglongwa Culture are divided into two stages in this area.The representative jade wares are Yujue,which provides material materials for the research on the origin of jade wares in China and the "Juebi cultural circle ".The jade wares of Hongshan Culture found in this area belong to the middle and late periods,and the number and species of jade wares increased,especially the animal jade wares,which provides clues for the study of religion in prehistoric times.In the analysis of the cultural connotation of the prehistoric jade wares in the Balin Steppe,it involves three aspects: art,religion and ritual.The artistic connotation of jade is reflected in the patterns and shapes.Religious connotation mainly involves three aspects: nature,totem and ancestor worship.The study of hook-shaped jade wares and hooped jade wares enriches the content of nature worship.Totem worship is mainly reflected in the jade silkworm,jade owl,jade fish,etc.The ancestor worship is embodied in jade articles in the shape of human face.The comparative study of the prehistoric jade wares in the Balin Steppe involves two aspects.One is the horizontal comparison,which is mainly compared with Lingjiatan Culture and Dawenkou Culture.The second is vertical comparison.The influence of Balin jade culture on jade wares in Shang Dynasty can prove the northeast origin of Shang Culture. |
