This study is mainly about analyzing the present condition of academic stress,self-control and academic procrastination among the senior high school students, whose purpose is to explore the correlations between these three aspects so that we can provide theoretical basis and some suggestions for reducing the frequency of academic procrastination. In the study,483 students who are studying in a senior high school of Tianjin from the Grade 1 to Grade 3 were involved to be research subjects.I used Middle School Students’ Academic Stressors Questionnaire(SSS),Middle School Students’ Self-control Scale(revised version)(SCS-R),Academic Procrastination Inventory(API)as tools to explor the relationship among the academic stress,self-control and academic procrastination. There are three main research questions:1)Is there a difference between genders and grades in senior high school students’ academic stress,self-control and academic procrastination? 2)Is there a correlation between senior high school students’ academic stress and academic procrastination? Is there a correlation between the self-control and academic procrastination of senior high school students? 3)How does the academic stress and self-control affect the academic procrastination of senior high school students? The subjects were asked to answer the certain questionnaires and then the researcher used SPSS 26.0 to do the descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis,as well as regression analysis. Finally, the results are as follows:1)There is no obvious gender difference in the level of academic stress,self-control and academic procrastination, but it is evident that the grade difference do exists.2)Academic stress has a significant positive correlation with academic procrastination.Three components of academic stress called task stress, self development stress and competition stress can be significant positive predictors of the academic procrastination while two components called setback stress and expectation stress can be significant negative predictors of it.3)Self-control has a significant negative correlation with academic procrastination. Two components of self-control called learning behavior and impulse-control can be significant negative predictors of the academic procrastination.
