With the hometown of Puyang,Henan as the main body,and the haze problem of the city as the background,through the study and reference of the unique painting language of Lopez’s "Madrid" architectural series,the oil painting creation based on the field style is used to form this series of works.The Madrid architecture series is the pinnacle of his painting history.Lopez fully respects the objective self-reality of realistic objects when depicting urban architecture,and uses superb painting skills and rigorous and sincere attitude to reproduce the visual reality on the canvas.In the process of studying Lopez’s painting language,the author took the pursuit of the visual reality of painting as the starting point,combed the visual form expressions of different periods,and established the visual expression of the figurative expressionism represented by Lopez as the theoretical support point.He approached nature with pure and intuitive vision,and borrowed Lopez’s painting language from three aspects.The first is the processing of contour lines.Instead of emphasizing the most obvious edge lines of the building,Lopez used color shading to create the building’s unique texture and volume.Then the expression of color language,Lopez uses neutral gray as the overall tone of the picture,looking for nuances in gray,to achieve a complex but not high-level sense.The last is the expression of emotion on the screen.Lopez’s emotions are hidden in the intuitive picture,and his emotions can only be manifested more and more if he is infinitely close to the objective reality.Here,the author analyzes the most outstanding points of Lopez’s architectural paintings and expresses the subtle expression of light in the air.The author combines these techniques with his own creation,and realizes that the pursuit of the visual reality of painting is not only a true representation of the objective world,but also the integration of its own subjective emotions.It is the unity of the visible and the sensible.This dissertation is not only a study of Lopez’s urban architecture series,but also my own perception in the process of creative practice.
