| In the history of the Northern Song Dynasty,Su Tangqing is an insignificant seal character scholar with unknown birth and death years.According to his circulated puppet works,he mainly lived in the Song Dynasty,Song Yingzong and Song Shenzong.There are three extant works of Su Tangqing,the first one called "Bamboo Crane" is engraved in different regions,such as Sichuan and Zhejiang province.The second one called "Zu Wuze three-character poetry carving" is engraved in the Northern Song Dynasty(1044).Su Tangqing and his good friend Zu Wuze and Wang Junzhang traveled together in Yulin temple.Zu Wuze was in charge of writing articles,Su Tangqing replied to Zu Wuze’s three-character poems.Wang Junzhang was responsible for grinding and engraving the rocks,which was called "three unique stele" by later generations.The third one called "Drunken Man Pavilion" is engraved in the seventh year of Jiayou in Song Dynasty(1062).Su Tangqing wrote Ouyang Xiu’s famous poem "Drunken Man Pavilion" and engraved it with stones.The inscription on the back of the tablet is engraved with Su Tangqing,Ou Yangxiu,Zhao Ji’s returning notes,and his friends’ historical poems.As a case study,the dissertation first uses social history,philology,and other methods to discuss Su Tangqing’s friends and main activities.He made friends with Ouyang Xiu,Zhao Jiu,Wang Anshi Zu Wuwu,Fu Yan,Shao Bi,and other official officials and scholars.Secondly,the thesis mainly uses research methods such as image comparison and field investigation to research and explain the works of the three-link seal character.The article deals with the modelling of the monument itself and the seal script,including the use of interspersing,concession,and continuity methods.At the same time,the location and style of the inscription are verified.Among them,cross-disciplinary research methods such as linguistics and philology are used to collate the scripture interpretations,and to compare specific scripture texts with the advantages and disadvantages of the characters.Although Su Tangqing was ignored in the history of the Northern Song Dynasty,by digging his people and his edicts,we can know that Su Tangqing’s books are not inferior to the first-rate Northern Song Dynasty scholars Xu Xu,Ying,Guo Zhongshu,etc.The thesis discusses Su Tangqing’s art of seal script and objectively analyzes its status in book history,and explores the significance of the study and creation of today’s seal script according to the source of the seal script and his works. |
