This article takes the reform of basic art education under the background of core qualities as the research background and pays close attention to the development trend of curriculum reforms in primary and secondary schools in various countries from a global perspective.School art educators should be good at actively discovering and digging into the art resources in other disciplines and promoting the organic integration of art and other various disciplines teaching and social practice activities such as extracurricular and off-campus activities.They should also allocate resources in reasonable manners to facilitate the implementation of cross-discipline teaching.The cross-discipline teaching of arts breaks the barriers among disciplines and promotes the integration of arts and other disciplines.The development of students' core qualities in arts as the objects should be implemented in the teaching process.In the discipline of arts,members of the expert group explore and propose that the core qualities of arts should be composed of image reading,artistic expression,aesthetic judgment,creative practice,and cultural understanding.It is the purpose of this research to train and improve students' core qualities of arts through cross-discipline teaching of junior high schools.The full text is divided into four parts.The first part covers the introduction and the first chapter,both of which are based on the research questions,status of domestic and foreign researches,research ideas and methods,concept definitions related to the thesis,theoretical basis and other related documents for analysis.The second part serves as the second chapter,which mainly consists of the significance of cross-discipline curriculum in junior high school,the teaching basis and main features of cross-discipline curriculum,and the cross-discipline teaching methods of junior high school.Based on the aforesaid three aspects,the cross-discipline teaching of arts in junior high school in the context of core qualities is interpreted and analyzed.The third part acts as the key chapter of this paper,in which the author puts forward his own opinions on how to carry out the cross-discipline teaching of art in junior high school in the context of the core qualities system.With the combination of specific teaching cases and some teaching fragments,the combination of art in junior high school and other disciplines and the implementation of cross-discipline teaching are fully demonstrated and analyzed,which provides further suggestions on the implementation of the cross-discipline teaching of art in junior high school.The fourth part acts as the summary and prospect of this paper.With the advantages of the cross-discipline teaching of art in junior high school summarized,the outlooks and expectations on how to adapt to the development of the times and educational demands and the possibility of promoting students' core qualities of arts to forward the national curriculum reform are proposed.
