An Investigation And Research On The Personality Characteristics Of The EPQ-RSC Of Shandong Province's Outstanding Basketball Referees

With the development of modern basketball and the ever-improving quality requirements of basketball competition under the new situation,the audience not only pays attention to the outstanding performance of the athletes,but also gradually pays attention to the referee's penalty level.This has led us to a new and epoch-making requirement for the physical fitness and personality of basketball referees.A qualified basketball referee not only needs to have a solid foundation in basketball,but more importantly,it must have a fair,impartial ruling ability and a stable,healthy personality trait.In recent years,the ranks of basketball referees in Shandong Province have grown stronger,and various problems have arisen.For example,the accuracy of the referee's ruling and penalty,which seriously affected the smooth progress of the basketball game.This requires us to conduct a specific personality analysis of basketball referees,and according to the analysis results,different referees are trained in different ways to improve the comprehensive quality of basketball referees,and contribute to the vigorous development of the basketball industry in Shandong Province and even China.This study is based on the basketball referees of "China Sports Lottery Cup" sports competition and Shandong University Games in 2018,Shandong Province.Using the documentary method,the questionnaire method,the mathematical statistics method and the logical analysis method,and with the revised Eysenck personality questionnaire short scale for Chinese(EPQ-RSC)mainly written by Qian Mingyi,the professor of the School of Psychological and Cognitive Sciences,Peking University;Wu Guocheng,the professor of Aeronautical Medical Institute of Chinese Air Force to conduct a comprehensive survey of the respondents.Through a comprehensive and multi-angle combing and analysis of the personality characteristics of outstanding basketball referees in Shandong Province,the following conclusions are drawn:1.The basketball referees in Shandong Province have personality characteristics such as extroversion,sociable communication,adventurousness,eagerness for excitement,quick response,and quick thinking.At the same time,there are also emotional instability,deficiencies in doing things,actions often affected by impulsiveness,and other negative personality traits.There are no adverse personality characteristics such as anti-social and difficult to get along with others.2.There are many factors influencing the formation of personality characteristics of basketball referees in Shandong Province,including the age,gender,ruling experience,referee level,whether the only child,the family's children's ranking,their own height,self-education level,Shandong Basketball Association's training and management of referees,the occupation of the parents,the education degree of the parents,family living environment,family economic situation,parental support for children participating in refereeing activities,etc.Through investigation and research,on the one hand,it is found that the referee's age,gender,ruling experience,whether the only child,their own height,ShandongBasketball Association's training and management of referees,the occupation of the parents,the education degree of the parents and the parental support for children participating in refereeing activities have a great influence on the personality characteristics of basketball referees in Shandong Province.On the other hand,factors such as family living environment and self-education level have little influence on the personality characteristics of basketball referees in Shandong Province.3.In the investigation of the impact on the personality of basketball referees in Shandong Province,in addition to the referee's own and parents and other factors will affect the formation of the referee's personality,the atmosphere in the game will have a greater impact on the referee's judgment,while in the game the coach's on-the-spot response and the coach's own personality have less impact on the referee.4.In the analysis of the responds ability of the basketball referees in Shandong Province to be investigated,we found that the basketball referees in Shandong Province occasionally appear emotional.In the analysis of the temperament type of the referee,the temperament type of the national referee is mainly sanguine temperament,and the temperament type of the first-level referee is mainly phlegmatic temperament.In the analysis of the ability to grasp the details on the court during the ruling,most of the referees showed moderate ability to grasp the details on the court,and the temperament type was mostly melancholic temperament.In the analysis of the psychological state during the misjudgment in the game,most of the psychological state of the national referee in the game is characterized by a calm state of mind,and the temperament type is mainly sanguine temperament;and most of the psychological state of the first-level referee showed anxiety,and the type of temperament displayed was mainly melancholic temperament.
