The language expression of Chinese version of scientific reasoning ability test volume(LCTSR 2000 Chinese version)is revised.The measurement index of the revised measurement tool of scientific reasoning ability is investigated.It is found that the tool has a good overall reliability,specific to each dimension,in addition to the hypothesis deductive reasoning dimension,the reliability of the other five dimensions is good.Based on Rasch model,the validity of measurement tools was analyzed,and it was found that there might be other potential factors in individual items 6,7,20,23,24.Through the quantitative analysis of the mean value of single question pair,kronbach ? coefficient,effect quantity and students' answering mode,it is found that six pairs of questions(7-8,11-12,13-14,19-20,21-22,23-24)may have content validity problems.By interviewing students to understand the reasoning process of the six pairs of questions,we can qualitatively study the content validity of current measurement tools.It is found that there are some content design problems between the choice of text content,context,picture and answer,which may be the cause of the content validity problem.By using the revised measurement tool of scientific reasoning ability,the present situation of scientific reasoning ability of 189 senior two students in Zhucheng was investigated.On the whole,the score range of students is 17-23,which shows a trend of more in the middle and less in both sides,indicating that students have higher scientific reasoning ability.However,the development of each sub dimension of scientific reasoning ability is unbalanced,among which the level of students' quality and volume conservation reasoning and probability reasoning ability is relatively high,followed by the related reasoning ability,while the control variable reasoning ability is relatively low,and the hypothesis deductive reasoning ability is the lowest among all dimensions.This paper studies the gender differences of scientific reasoning ability of senior two students,It is found that there is no significant gender difference in the whole and all dimensions of scientific reasoning ability.This paper studies the correlation between the scores of scientific reasoning ability and the final scores of mathematics,physics and biology.The results showed that the correlation between scientific reasoning ability score and biological score was low(r = 0.283,P < 0.01),and there was moderate correlation between scientific reasoning ability score and mathematical score(r = 0.416,P < 0.01),and the correlation between scientific reasoning ability score and physical score was the highest(r = 0.487,P < 0.01).This paper studies the examination of the ability of scientific reasoning in the final physical examination.It is found that the physical test paper has the most examination on the ability of conservation reasoning,followed by proportional reasoning,and less examination on the control variable reasoning.Moreover,this set of physical test paper does not obviously involve the dimensions of probability reasoning,related reasoning and hypothetical deductive reasoning.
