In the context of academic research on educational relations,teacher authority is an inevitable and important topic.Different from authoritarianism and coercion,teacher authority is a kind of educational influence that teachers exert on students by virtue of their own factors on the basis of the right to receive education endowed by the state and society.This influence is manifested in students' recognition,respect,trust and obedience to teachers.Teacher authority is the necessary requirement to ensure the normal operation of educational practice activities,and also the internal need to realize educational purposes.However,with the development of The Times and the renewal of social concepts,the teacher authority in the traditional context is being impacted in many ways.Under this background,how to construct a new teacher authority that meets the needs of contemporary education is the subject of this paper.This research adopts the research method of combining quantitative survey and qualitative analysis,and investigates the status quo of the authority of teachers in contemporary high schools through the questionnaire survey among 308 ordinary high school students.On the basis of the preliminary questionnaire,in view of the questionnaire data analysis results presented problems of individualized selection interview some teachers and high school students to study,and make the interview transcript,gather them and this research is closely related to the effective information for qualitative analysis,discusses high school teachers in the traditional authority and legal authority,professional authority and authority on the four dimensions to inspire the authority level of high and low,and the main factors influencing the teacher authority level.The study found that in ordinary high school teacher authority on the present situation of the present,the system had a greater influence on external factors on the students,namely rules given legal authority is still the most students to disobey the life reason,but this kind of authority gradually from democracy and spontaneous obedience to the kernel,on the students' consciousness and authoritarian often vague.In the aspect of the individual factor of teacher authority,the rich knowledge and the equal teacher-student communication are the main factors to attract students to identify teachers,that is,the establishment of knowledge authority and the inspired authority is more in line with the rationalization demand of the teacher-student communication in the contemporary high school.At the same time,the teacher of the authority is under different degree of shock,after the coming of the era of co-figurative culture makes the teachers' knowledge authority no longer has the absolute status,postmodern education ideological trend also makes the development of democratic equality concept accepted by more and more students of contacts,no longer has a wide recognition in the traditional sense and teacher,student more demands equal dialogue and exchanges with the teacher.Therefore,the current research on the reconstruction of teacher authority must consider the origin of the loss of authority and the background of the dissolution of authority.On the one hand,teachers need to rediscover the lost mission,shoulder the responsibility of pursuing the truth,lead students to yearn for the truth,move towards the truth,and rebuild the teacher authority based on the truth.On the other hand,teachers also need to change their educational concepts and become the chief among equals in the dialogue and communication with students.They should not only communicate with students in a democratic and equal attitude,but also assume the responsibilities of the chief,so as to better lead students to the future and shoulder the responsibilities to the world.
